An urgent search is underway for two young girls who disappeared from a home in NSW’s Hunter Valley.

Monique Rowland, 12, and Emily Rowland, 13, were last seen at a property on Skelltar Stock Route in Muswellbrook on Sunday.

Police were notified when the pair could not be found and have since launched an investigation.

Officers and the girls’ family are concerned for their welfare due to their young age.

Monique Rowland, 12, and Emily Rowland, 13, were last seen at a house on Skelltar Stock Route in Muswellbrool on Sunday.

Monique is described as being of Caucasian appearance and around 150cm tall, with a thin build, brown hair and brown eyes.

Emily is described as being of Caucasian appearance and around 140cm tall, with a slim build, brown hair and brown eyes.
