A woman has been arrested and charged with murder after her partner was found dead in a home.

A man was found dead after police were called to a welfare check at a house on Damon Avenue in Epping in Sydney’s north-west at 11am on Saturday.

The man has not yet been formally identified, but police believe the man is the woman’s husband.

The woman was taken to Gladesville Police Station after being arrested in Epping on Saturday morning.

On Saturday evening, a 60-year-old woman was charged with murder.

The woman was refused bail and is due to appear in Parramatta Local Court on Sunday.
