Apple Vision Pro will launch in 6 new countries next week

The global rollout of the Apple Vision Pro is eagerly awaited, with analysts predicting its expansion following WWDC 2024 following a Bloomberg report. Ming-Chi Kuo suggests that the spatial computing device could debut in six countries by mid-June.

In a recent update, Kuo stated,

“Shipments to non-US markets, notably the UK, France, Germany, China, Japan and Singapore, are expected to begin before the middle of this month (later than previously predicted before WWDC 2024). The global supply estimate to 2024 remains unchanged at 400,000 to 450,000 units. 8c4aad2bf0c08244a5%7Ctwcon%5Es1_&ref_url= vision -to-expand-to-these-6-countries-as-early-next-week%2F

In line with previous reports, this suggests that Apple will potentially introduce the international launch of the Apple Vision Pro during the WWDC 2024 keynote, targeting the following markets:

  • United Kingdom
  • France
  • Germany
  • China
  • Japan
  • Singapore

The exclusion of Australia, Canada, and South Korea from the list of potential countries is puzzling, especially considering past rumors suggesting they would be included in the initial phase of this expansion.

Given the slow sales and apparent lack of enthusiasm for the Vision Pro in the US, Apple may consider it feasible to pursue a larger international expansion of the device. WITH WWDC 2024 we expect an insight into visionOS 2.0, which will potentially bring this spatial computer to life. Notably, Apple still faces gaps in its core app offerings on the platform, and a number of major developers have so far refrained from creating apps for the device.

As Cupertino expands the product’s reach to other regions, it could spur increased interest in spatial computing among a wider audience. Developers may be inclined to develop more apps and the upcoming visionOS updates might bring more user-friendly features.

However, due to its high price, Apple store employees may encounter challenges in highlighting the features of Apple Vision Pro to these potential customers. Despite the high price in the US, this product is unlikely to see a price cut in other regions.

Currently, Apple Vision Pro has found traction in the medical field. Surgeons use this spatial computing device to facilitate surgical procedures, access valuable information, contact colleagues and gain a comprehensive view of the operation in real time.

We will continue to provide updates on international expansion Apple Vision Pro as more information becomes available.
