Apprentice star James White’s company ‘goes into liquidation owing nearly £200,000’ – seven years after winning hit BBC show

James White’s Right Time Recruitment has gone into liquidation.

The Apprentice winner, 33, received a £250,000 investment from Lord Alan Sugar when he emerged victorious from the hit BBC series in 2017.

But after seven years the company, a recruitment company, owes £10,000 to HMRC among other creditors, The Sun reports.

Lord Sugar withdrew from the business in 2020 and the firm is believed to owe Lloyds Bank more than £52,500 and secretarial companies more than £33,000.

A statement from the company claimed there was likely to be a «total shortfall» of £199,763.71.

According to a source, James has now appointed a liquidator to close Right Time.

The recruitment firm specialized in the IT and consultancy industry and after Lord Sugar left as a shareholder, James became the sole owner of the firm.

In May, Companies House issued a delisting order for the company, which previously boasted offices in London, Birmingham and Chicago.

James – who won series 13 of the hit BBC show – set up tax consultancy Mileage Reclaim Limited four years ago, owing £100,000 from his recruitment firm.

During his time on the show, James infamously had a fling with a co-star, and she split from her boyfriend at the time.

Jade and James broke up just a year after the series ended, but immediately after their time on the show ended, she claimed their friendship grew into something more.
