Cricketer Adam Dale and wife Nickie are selling their four-bedroom Melbourne home after listing the property for $1.75 million

Australian cricketer Adam Dale and his wife Nickie have sold their family home in Melbourne after listing it with a guide price of $1.65 million to $1.75 million.

The sale comes after the couple spent around a decade living in the four-bedroom property in Eltham, which is 20km north-east of the CBD.

According to realestate.com.au, the house has two living areas and a ground floor room and office.

The Dales renovated the property to create a welcoming space that balanced private areas with places for family gatherings.

Dale, who played two Test matches and 30 One Day Internationals between 1997 and 2000, was also a member of the Australian team that won the 1999 Cricket World Cup.

In addition to his international cricket career, he played first-class and List A cricket for the Queensland Bulls and club cricket for several teams in Melbourne.

One of his most memorable moments came in the 1997 Mercantile Mutual Cup, where his spectacular one-handed catch to dismiss NSW batsman Phil Emery earned him widespread acclaim and the title of cricket’s «Catch of the Century».

“We love the place, and the house gave everyone the opportunity to have space to themselves, and then we could come back together as a family,” Dale said.
