Farmer Wants A Wife producers regret letting contestants control social media accounts this year as actors go rogue

Producers of Farmer Wants A Wife are said to regret allowing the cast to use social media while on the show after the stars went «wandering» and spoke out online.

One insider said the Woman’s Day producers’ gripes intensified this week after farmer Bert Harris addressed several of his matches after the show.

«He initially reached out to Karli, Brooke and Caitlin through their Instagram (accounts) to make sure they were OK,» – adding that Channel Seven had allowed the cast to use their social media during the show for the first time ever.

«Most of them show you handing over passwords and account details and the networks don’t hand them back until after they’ve aired,» they added.

«I think (producers) will go back to the old system next year because they missed the controls.»

Meanwhile, Farmer Todd’s love interest Daisy Lamb also ‘pissed off’ the matchmaking series on social media as she revealed her shocking take on the show.

The 28-year-old gym manager has boldly claimed that her and farmer Todd’s budding romance was doctored in a ‘BS’ way in an attempt to discredit her.

“It’s so heavily edited. This wasn’t a conversation so I’m so disappointed in Seven for even publishing this BS,” Daisy commented on an Instagram clip posted by the network.

‘Disappointed. That’s all I can say. It’s just completely wrong that not only myself but Todd’s friends and family have been portrayed as something we are not.’

Lamb also publicly lashed out at several of her romantic rivals, accusing them of disliking Farmer Todd for the right reasons.

«The fact that the girls call it a ‘game’ and a ‘competition’ should shed some light on why they were there,» she began.

“Todd is not a prize that anyone can win, he wanted to find love. Jacinta and I are not friends. I would never drag anyone for personal gain.”

The latest series of Farmer Wants A Wife was marked by contestants fighting each other, with Daisy’s rival Jacinta calling her out on camera and accusing her of «love-bombing» Farmer Todd.

“She’s quite possessive of him. Todd can see Daisy in a different light when he is with her. It doesn’t have the whole story. He deserves to know the truth,” said Jacinta.

Daisy’s shocking claims may have sent Channel Seven producers reeling and she also took to social media last week to launch an extraordinary attack against the show.
