FIFA W/Cup 2026 Qualifiers: Finidi calls up Lookman, Osimhen, Nwabali, Ndidi and 19 others for Bafana, Cheetahs

Super Eagles head coach Finidi George has invited Europa League winner and Atalanta strongman Ademola Lookman, African Player of the Year Victor Osimhene and goalkeeper Stanley Nwabali among the 23 players who will take on South Africa’s Bafana Bafana. Cheetahs of Benin Republic in the upcoming 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers.

Finidi also selected goalkeeper Maduka Okoye, England defenders Calvin Bassey and Semi Ajayi, midfielders Wilfred Ndidi, Alex Iwobi and Alhassan Yusuf and forwards Kelechi Iheanacho, Victor Boniface and Terem Moffi.

Debut Remo Stars defender Sadiq Ismael has been called up for his debut, while Turkish midfielder Fisayo Bashiru, Bayer Leverkusen of Germany Nathan Tella and lanky striker Paul Onuachu have also made the list.

The Super Eagles will take on South Africa at the Godswill Akpabio Stadium in Uyo on Friday, June 7 (8pm Nigerian time) before flying to Abidjan to face Benin Republic at the Stade Felix Houphouet-Boigny on Monday, June 10 from 4pm: 00 CIV time ( 17:00 Nigerian time).
