GOP military vet files articles of impeachment to ‘Quid Pro’ Joe Biden over withholding aid to Israel, which he voted against, as more than 25 Democrats turn on the president for ‘encouraging’ Hamas

Republican Rep. Cory Mills sued President Biden for suspending arms supplies to Israel, even though he voted against the aid.

Mills. R-FLa., was among 21 Republicans who opposed a vote on a $26 billion Israeli aid bill that was wrapped into a $95 billion foreign aid package.

He was also among 14 Republicans who opposed a failed Israeli aid bill in February, but has made two separate rescue missions to Israel since the war broke out in October.

«The House has no choice but to impeach President ‘Quid for Joe’ Biden,» Mills said in a statement to DailyMail.com.

«As vice president, Biden was caught threatening to withhold funding and aid to Ukraine unless he fired the attorney general investigating Burisma, a company financially benefiting his son Hunter, not to mention a 10% stake for the ‘big guy’ himself.»

Republican Rep. Cory Mills impeached President Biden for suspending arms supplies to Israel, even though he voted against the aid.

Mills continued: “Joe Biden is now pressuring Israel, our greatest ally in the Middle East, to suspend its funding, which has already been approved in the House, unless it stops all operations with Hamas. It’s a very clear message, «it’s worth it». These are the same allegations leveled against President Trump that resulted in his impeachment by Democrats. The same must happen to Joe Biden, which is why we are now preparing articles of impeachment.”

Meanwhile, Rep. Josh Gottheimer, D-N.J., led 25 House Democrats in a letter to National Security Adviser Jake Sullivan that «withholding weapons to Israel … only emboldens our common enemies, including Hamas, Hezbollah, the Houthis and other Iranian-backed proxies .”

Sen. Tom Cotton, R-Ark., on Thursday called for the House to impeach Joe Biden over the Trump-Ukraine precedent.

«Some people are saying that Joe Biden is doing this for his re-election, which would be bad enough,» the Arkansas Republican said. «I must add that this would also be grounds for impeachment.

He recalled 2019, when former President Donald Trump was impeached for what his critics say was withholding aid to Ukraine for political campaign purposes.

Other Senate Republicans, who successfully avoided a six-month impeachment standoff in the House of Representatives, were hesitant to make such a call, even as they viewed Biden as a «propaganda tool» and a «Hamas wooer.»

«I’m not here to talk about that, but given what they’ve done to President Trump, I think you could make an argument,» said Sen. Lindsey Graham, R-S.C. to DailyMail.com at a press conference.

«More risk for hostages, it prolongs the war.» It will strengthen Iran at a time when it needs to be contained,» he said, adding that it could also squander «the US’s last best chance for structural change in the Middle East.»

Biden told CNN on Wednesday that Mre would suspend further arms deliveries Israel if premier Benjamin Netanyahu launches a large-scale invasion of Rafah.

The Israelis reacted furiously and the ceasefire talks stalled. Netanyahu did not directly respond to Biden’s comment, but posted a video on social media of a defiant speech he gave this week, in which he said «no amount of pressure» would stop Israel from defending itself.

President last week, delayed the delivery of 3,500 bombs to a US Middle Eastern ally. It was the first time he used his executive power to influence Israel’s approach to its war Hamas — after progressives begged him to do so for months.

His warning words on Wednesday were the most direct threat Biden has made to Israel during the seven-month war.

Civilians have been killed in Rafah as a result of these bombs and other means. They go after population centers. I’ve made it clear that if they go to Rafah — they haven’t entered Rafah yet — I’m not going to supply weapons,» Biden said.

But Kirby seemed to clarify the president’s position.

«As the president said, Israel has not yet launched such an operation. So he was talking about what would happen in the future if that happened. That is the choice Israel will have to make. And we hope they don’t,» he noted.

Before the $26 billion aid package was approved last month, the US had given Israel $216 billion in aid since 1946. Most of this came from the $3.3 billion the US offers each year in grants under the Foreign Military Financing (FMF) program. American funding is estimated to make up about 15 percent of Israel’s defense budget.

Biden is far from the first president to dangle arms shipments to the Israelis in exchange for a change in policy.

In 1982, Ronald Reagan accused then-Israeli Prime Minister Menachem Begin of committing a «holocaust» in Lebanon in the early 1980s and withheld the supply of fighter jets and artillery shells to force Israel to stop bombing Beirut.

Still, Biden’s top Senate ally opposed him, saying the IDF should «finish the job» in Rafah.

Senator Chris Coons, Democrat of Delaware, is Biden’s best representative on the world stage. His public break with Biden’s policies is almost unprecedented.

Coons recounted a conversation with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on the Senate floor Thursday night.

«You don’t just have a right to defend the people of Israel from Hamas, you have a duty,» Coons told Netanyahu. «You have to go to them. You have to finish the job. You must go to Rafah.’

Still, he called on Israel to allow Palestinian civilians to leave Rafah.

“There are a million civilian refugees who have flown to the very bottom of Gaza and are now up against a hard border with Egypt. And since Egypt won’t let any of them into Egypt, you have to provide a way for civilians to leave Rafah before you go into it in a big way with a bombing campaign, a ground campaign that minimizes civilian casualties and deaths.»

Speaker Mike Johnson called the move a «betrayal» after agreeing to risk his job to put a $95 billion foreign aid package on the House floor that included $26 billion for Israel.

That package only passed after a six-month delay because the two sides of the aisle couldn’t agree on aid to Ukraine or provisions on border security.

Coons later told DailyMail.com that the call to impeach Biden over withholding weapons from Israel was «ridiculous.»

«President Biden’s goal is to continue to support Israel’s security and avoid unnecessary civilian deaths,» Coons continued. «Former President Trump’s goal was to get personal political benefits from the head of a partner country, so I don’t see the parallel.»

«Don’t go in and do this stupid-,» Sen. John Fetterman, D-Pa., said of Cotton’s impeachment idea.

The difference between how Republicans and progressive Democrats view Biden’s handling of the Israel-Gaza conflict couldn’t be more stark — as if they were talking about two different presidents.

Last month, 56 House Democrats, including former Speaker Nancy Pelosi, urged a pause in a letter to Biden.

Progressives began calling Biden «Genocide Joe» and said he had «blood on his hands» for allowing the war to drag on for seven months before threatening to withhold aid.

Republicans, meanwhile, insist Israel can do no more to avoid civilian casualties if it is to destroy Hamas.

«Israel does not want to kill a single civilian,» Cruz said. “There is no army on the face of the earth to protect civilians.

The White House on Thursday played down Biden’s remarks about withholding foreign aid.

«Everybody keeps talking about suspending the supply of weapons. Arms shipments continue to go to Israel. And they’re still getting the vast majority of everything they need to defend themselves,» National Security Council spokesman John Kirby told reporters.

As a result, Sen. Joni Ernst, R-Iowa, called Biden a “Hamas mouthpiece” and Ted Cruz, R-Texas, accused him of being “the most anti-Israel president this nation has ever seen.

Cruz said Biden is «undermining Israel at every turn.»

Sen. Susan Collins, R-Maine, noted that it was Biden who put together the request for additional funding for Israel.

«Without any consultation, the administration halted the supply of basic weapons over the weekend.» It did not brief the Appropriations, Foreign Relations, or Armed Services committees. It was a unilateral decision.’

Sen. Roger Marshall, R-Kans., accused Biden of having a «schizophrenic national security policy.»

“He says he wants to help Israel, but he’s afraid he’ll lose a few votes in Michigan.

Just as Israel and Saudi Arabia were on the precipice of normalizing relations, Hamas launched its attack on Israel on October 7, which killed about 1,200 Israelis and subsequently led to the deaths of more than 35,000 Palestinians in an Israeli counteroffensive.

“I believe that a democratic president is in the best position to build on the Abrahamic deals that were made to Saudi Arabia. That would be a great achievement,” he said.

The Abraham Accords, brokered during the Trump administration, led to normalization between Israel and the United Arab Emirates and Bahrain.

On Monday, the Israeli army warned about 110,000 civilians to leave Rafah, and a few hours later its tanks moved there. It was not a full-scale invasion, but some fear it is imminent.

Israel has threatened a major assault on the area to defeat the thousands of Hamas fighters it claims are holed up there.
