Hugh Jackman is currently training hard as he prepares to reprise his role as Wolverine in the upcoming blockbuster Deadpool 3.

On Monday, the Marvel star, 55, raised eyebrows when she shared a workout video with a very surprising detail on Instagram.

The Sydney-born star can be seen working up a sweat in the clip as he vigorously works his upper body muscles and bulging biceps.

The video showed how hard his muscles were tensing – all the veins on them were bursting.

However, as the camera pans around, viewers can see Hugh’s bare legs, which are quite slim and slender compared to his lifted upper body.

Fans quickly took to the comments section to joke that Hugh needed to make sure he got a good lower body workout too.

«Don’t skip a day with your feet!» one fan joked, while another added: «Impressive… but the legs.»

«Is tomorrow leg day?» asked a third person.

Jackman is training to play Wolverine again in Deadpool 3 alongside his good friend Ryan Reynolds, 47.

The 6’3′ Australian actor follows a very strict and lean diet to slip into the fierce costume of the live-action Marvel superhero.

Fans were quick to take to the comments section to joke that Hugh needs to make sure he gets a good lower body workout too

Last week he showed off what he eats to get a muscular yet lean figure for the role.

One of his diet meals consisted of just three very small slices of fish, some steamed asparagus and a slice of lemon.

In general, men need about 2,500 calories a day to simply maintain their weight, suggesting that Hugh will be bulking up again to play the iconic comic book character.

However, Hugh revealed last year that he was consuming up to 8,000 calories a day to ensure his body was in tip-top shape to play the iconic superhero.

Last year, Hugh revealed that it took him six months of hard training to physically prepare for his return as Wolverine.
