Jadon Sancho has named Real Madrid stars as Ballon d’Or favorites ahead of facing them in the Champions League final… as the Borussia Dortmund winger insists Harry Kane would «definitely» win if he lifted the trophies

Jadon Sancho will be a key part of Borussia Dortmund’s bid to upset Real Madrid and claim Champions League glory, but he believes their rivals have two contenders for this year’s Ballon d’Or.

Dortmund and Real Madrid square off at Wembley on Saturday night in club football’s biggest game.

The Spanish giants head into the match looking to extend their record 15th title, while Dortmund hope to lift the Champions League for the first time since 1997.

Sancho, who joined Dortmund on loan from Man United in January, singled out the two Real Madrid stars during an interview with CNN.

The 24-year-old name-checked Vinicius Jnr and former Dortmund team-mate Jude Bellingham as among his top four players in the world.

Sancho also included Kylian Mbappe, who is expected to join Real Madrid this summer, as well as England captain Harry Kane.

«Vinicius, Bellingham, Mbappe and I would say Harry Kane,» Sancho said when asked who are the best players in the world at the moment.

“Harry Kane I think because of the goals scored, if he won trophies this year, he would definitely win the Ballon d’Or.

“Vinicus and Jude are fighting right now over who can win it – of course they’re close friends, I’m not saying they’re fighting – but they could win it.

Bellingham scored 23 goals and provided 12 assists in his debut season at Real Madrid since his £113m move from Dortmund last year.

Vinicius equaled Bellingham’s goal tally in all competitions but added one less assist as the duo helped Carlo Ancelotti’s side win La Liga and reach the Champions League final.

The prospect of Real Madrid adding Mbappe to their front line was described by Sancho as a «terrifying» prospect as the French superstar scored 44 goals in 48 games in his final season at PSG.

Kane equaled Mbappe’s goal tally for the season at Bayern Munich despite missing out on silverware for the German giants.
