Jerry Seinfeld’s stand-up show interrupted by pro-Palestinian governor shouting ‘free Gaza’

Jerry Seinfeld’s stand-up was interrupted by a pro-Palestinian protester who stood up near the start of his Saturday show and shouted «free Gaza.»

In a video obtained by TMZ, the hacker can be seen getting up from his seat at Seinfeld’s show in Norfolk, Virginia and yelling directly at the Jewish comedian.

«You are an advocate of genocide!» said the man before pointing at the entire crowd and also accusing them of being ‘supporters of genocide’.

«You should all be ashamed of yourselves!» he shouted.

Spectators booed the governor loudly and some told him to ‘get out of here’.

Less than 30 seconds after the Palestinian supporter made himself known, a man in a green shirt ran up and began attacking him, eventually headbutting him.

An audience member captured the showdown between the protester, seen second from right, and his attacker, standing immediately to his left in a green shirt

The protester tried to shout up to the stage during the scuffle, and some fans applauded now that the attacker had been silenced.

«I love a bit of Jew hating to spice up the show,» Seinfeld said when the fight broke out.

An alternate angle shot from someone sitting even closer to the fight shows the man in the green shirt looking angry moments before the attack.

‘Get out. Get off. You’re ruining it for everyone else… Get out!’ the attacker says to the protester as he pushes him.

The crowd then started chanting «Jerry! Jerry! Jerry!” as security escorted the protester out of the venue.

According to people at the show, Seinfeld told everyone not to boo the man because he had a right to protest.

Others certainly exercised that right throughout the night, according to TMZ there were about eight protesters who disrupted Seinfeld’s performance.

Another audience member interrupted Seinfeld mid-joke: “Save the children of Gaza! No more US tax dollars for genocide!”

The woman next to him told him to ‘shut up and get out’.

Seinfeld has made his support for Israel very clear, making him a favorite celebrity target for angry agitators.

The billionaire comedian told the Times of Israel in December 2023, just over two months after the Gaza war began, that he «lived and worked in a kibbutz in Israel when I was 16, and I have loved our Jewish homeland ever since.»

He added that he would ‘always stand by Israel and the Jewish people’.

Following those comments, Seinfeld was harassed in New York after attending the State of the World Jewry speech in February.

Journalist Bari Weiss delivered the address, and as Seinfeld left the event, protesters repeatedly shouted «free Palestine» and «you support genocide» at him.

And most recently, dozens of Duke University students walked out of their own commencement ceremony out of frustration that Seinfeld was going to speak.
