King Charles has been admitted to a London hospital for prostate surgery

King Charles III was admitted to the hospital Friday morning for a procedure to address a diagnosis of a benign prostate enlargement he had reported last week. «The King was admitted to a London hospital this morning for planned treatment,» he said. «His Majesty would like to thank everyone who has sent their well wishes over the past week and is delighted to hear that his diagnosis is having a positive impact on public health awareness.»

According to The Daily Beast, Queen Camilla accompanied him on Friday morning to the London Clinic, a private hospital in Marylebone. The King traveled from the Sandringham Estate in Norfolk to London by helicopter on Thursday ahead of the procedure on Friday. Before his procedure, he also visited his daughter-in-law Kate Middleton on the clinic. The Princess of Wales has been in hospital since January 16 when she underwent planned abdominal surgery.
