Kissflow lays off 45-50 employees during product shutdown

Low-code SaaS platform Kissflow has announced layoffs of 45-50 employees across various functions, including sales, marketing and product development. According to a report by MoneyControl, the decision follows the shutdown of the product and subsequent annual performance reviews.

The layoffs affected employees in India, the US and the United Arab Emirates. Before the layoffs, Kissflow’s workforce exceeded 400 employees.

YourStory has reached out to Kissflow with questions, but has yet to hear back.

Founded by Suresh Sambandam in 2012, the Chennai-based company offers a cloud platform for business process management (BPM) and workflow automation. Kissflow helps organizations streamline their operations and boasts a clientele that includes Fortune 500 brands such as PepsiCo, McDermott, Motorola Solutions and Danone.

In 2022, the company made headlines when it gifted five high-profile BMW 5 Series cars, each worth around 1 billion rupees, in recognition of their long association with the company.

The layoffs at Kissflow reflect a broader trend in the SaaS industry in India, where several firms have made layoffs due to various factors such as market downturns and shifts in market focus. Last year, Chargebee laid off 10% of its workforce, affecting 100 to 120 employees across multiple departments.
