Matilda debutant forward Sharn Freier packs on the PDA with fiancee as the squad take a morning stroll in Sydney – ahead of Tillies return against China

Matildas star Sharn Freier was spotted packing on the PDA with fiancee Jessica Righetti as they went for a walk around their hotel on Sunday morning.

The soccer star, 22, and her love shared a kiss as the pair spent some quality time with Sharn’s teammates ahead of their return match against China on Monday.

Dressed in a cream jumper and gray shorts, Sharn, who made her Tillies debut last month, also rocked a pair of comfy white Adidas trainers.

Pulling her locks back into a tight bun, she could barely keep her hands off Jessica, who had donned a black sweater and hid her eyes behind a pair of dark sunglasses.

Elsewhere, some of the other young up-and-comers in the squad seemed to make the most of their recent additions.

While star forward Mary Fowler and goalkeeper Jada Whyman were all smiles as they caught up on their morning walk.

The duo wore weather-appropriate jackets and sweaters as they also hung out with defender Courtney Nevin, who appeared to be on the phone.

Caitlin Foord looked somber as she stayed close to one of her team-mates after the star forward, 29, reportedly suffered a hamstring problem.

Their observations come after Matildas coach Tony Gustavsson admitted he was «a bit concerned» about Caitlin’s possible hamstring injury.

The star forward was substituted just after the hour mark in Friday’s friendly against China in Adelaide after reporting a strain in the back of her thigh.

Tony, 50, insisted it was a precaution but the Arsenal star will not feature in Monday night’s second leg at Accor Stadium in Sydney.
