Meghan Markle is effortlessly chic in a tailored Carolina Herrera maxi skirt and $3,250 earrings for the Bob Marley film premiere in Jamaica.

Meghan Markle was casually chic in a flowing black maxi skirt – fashion experts suspect was a bespoke design by Carolina Herrera – as she and her husband jetted off to Jamaica for the premiere of Bob Marley’s new film.

The Duchess of Sussex, 42, oozed glamor on Tuesday night in a monochrome ensemble, which she paired with a simple bodysuit.

The strappy design showed off her toned shoulders and cinched in waist as the mother-of-two smiled for the cameras during a glitzy screening of the Paramount biopic at the Carib Theatre.

Meghan teamed her sophisticated look with flamboyant accessories, and royal watchers, including the Royal Fashion Police on Instagram, think she wore 18K gold earrings from Jennifer Meyer Jewellery, which cost $3,250 (about £2,558.37).

Elsewhere, the Duchess stuck to her classic Jimmy Choo ‘J Box clutch’ (valued at £750, or around $952.75) – one of her staples, which she’s worn several times over the years.

She showed off her dewy complexion with simple understated makeup and styled her hair in a sleek bun.

Meanwhile, Prince Harry, 39, opted for a casual black suit and white shirt for the event.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex turned heads as they posed for photos and shook hands with the cast last night.

The couple posed with Paramount Pictures and Nickelodeon President and CEO Brian Robbins and his wife Tracy James.

Meghan and Harry – who stepped down from royal duties four years ago – were also at the premiere with Jamaican Prime Minister Andrew Holness and his wife Juliet.

Holness said his country was «moving on» from the British monarchy. Harry’s father, King Charles, is currently the head of state of Jamaica.

The process of severing ties with the British monarchy follows in the footsteps of another former Caribbean possession, Barbados.

Similar to the island county’s separation from the monarchy, Prince Harry has dropped his HRH titles and has made a sensational move away from being a working royal in early 2020.

He moved to North America with his wife Meghan, whom he married in 2018.

Meghan and Harry now live in Montecito, California with their two children, Archie and Lilibet. Since leaving their duties, the Sussexes have made very few public and personal trips back to the UK.

The couple have had many ventures in the entertainment industry since their royal exit. They signed multi-million dollar deals with Netflix and Spotify to produce podcasts and documentary series discussing their lives in the royal fold.

They parted ways with their $20 million Spotify deal six months ago after producing Meghan’s ‘Archetypes’ podcast series.

On Tuesday night, Prince Harry was seen on the red carpet hugging Ziggy Marley, the 55-year-old musician and son of Bob and Rita Marley, who produced One Love.

It’s unclear why Harry and Meghan were there – although the film showcases British talent, with Londoners Kingsley Ben-Adir as Bob Marley and Lashana Lynch as Rita Marley, and James Norton playing producer Chris Blackwell.

The trip to Jamaica is not their first.

In 2017, before their engagement in November, the pair attended the wedding of Harry’s friend Tom ‘Skippy’ Inskip to Lara Hughes-Young.

And in 2012, Harry traveled to the island nation on his Diamond Jubilee Caribbean tour, where he was seen dancing with a large crowd to Marley’s hit One Love.

He also met the late musician’s widow, Rita Marley, now 77.

Bob Marley died of cancer in 1981 at the age of 36.

And while they were enjoying the sun, Harry’s father King Charles was preparing for surgery and Kate Middleton was recovering.

The king, 75, was seen driving near Sandringham in his electric Audi on Monday.

Clasping the steering wheel with thick green woolen gloves, Charles was seen briefly before heading back through the main entrance of his Norfolk estate where he was greeted by a police officer.

Queen Camilla described the King as «doing well» as she chatted to a member of the public during the visit Deacon and Sons, a 175 year old family run jewelery shop in Swindon.

Local woman Jessie Jackson, 86, she said as she shook the Queen’s hand and asked her how Charles was doing.

Nicky Jackson, 48, who accompanied her, added: “She was asking how Charles was. He’s fine. We forgot about poor Kate.’

Charles flew back to Sandringham from Scotland on Friday to prepare for his upcoming operation.

The monarch and his wife flew more than 300 miles in a Royal Air Force jet from Aberdeen Airport to RAF Marham before being whisked away for the final 15 miles.

It comes at a difficult time for the royal family, with the Princess of Wales recovering in hospital from planned abdominal surgery and the Duchess of York revealing she has skin cancer at the weekend.

The Princess of Wales is said to be «doing well» after undergoing abdominal surgery at a London clinic near Regent’s Park last week.

She will stay at the exclusive clinic for up to 14 days, and should return to official duties only after Easter.

Meanwhile, Sarah, 64, was diagnosed with malignant melanoma – an aggressive form of skin cancer – after several birthmarks were removed during reconstruction surgery following a mastectomy in June.

One has been identified as cancerous and is now undergoing further medical checks to make sure the cancer is caught in its early stages.
