Netflix’s popular hip-hop reality show returns after a five-year hiatus — featuring Ludacris, Latto and DJ Khaled

The popular Netflix reality series is finally returning with a second season five years after its premiere.

The streaming platform announced Season 2 for music competition series Rhythm + Flow on January 18.

Rappers Ludacris, DJ Khaled and Latto are new judges for Season 2.

Eminem will also serve as a guest judge during the battle rounds of the upcoming season.

Rhythm + Flow Season 2 is currently filming in Atlanta, Georgia and will be available to stream later this year.

Netflix announced the second season of Rhythm + Flow on January 18, featuring Ludacris, DJ Khaled and Latto as the main judges.

Season 1 was released on October 23, 2019, and featured judges Cardi B, T.I., and Chance the Rapper.

The trio selected 30 contestants who auditioned in Los Angeles, New York, Atlanta and Chicago.

In addition to rap battles, rappers were forced to complete tasks involving songwriting, performances and homemade music videos.

The winner is not guaranteed a record deal, but walks away with a whopping $250,000 cash prize.

Season 2 contestants will likely participate in similar challenges with new judges.

All three were excited by Netflix’s announcement, where DJ Khaled called hip-hop a «lifestyle.»

«First impressions are everything… It’s all about this one moment,» Ludacris stated.

Latto said her opinion carries «little weight» because she was a contestant on the reality show in 2016.

The rapper was crowned the winner of Jermain Dupri’s show The Rap Game, where she competed under the name Miss Mulatto.

Ludacris served as a judge on the short-lived ABC reality show Rising Star in 2014.

DJ Khaled was one of the main judges on Fox’s music competition show The Four in 2018.

X (formerly Twitter) and Instagram users have had a few opinions about the show, but they’re excited that it’s coming back for Season 2.

X-users are excited about the return of Rhythm & Flow for a second season and have released clips of Eminem to celebrate his guest appearance during the battle rounds.
