NFL rookie Kool-Aid McKinstry made his first big purchase by buying a heartwarming Mother’s Day gift for his mom, Geneva Allen.

On Sunday, McKinstry shared the moment he presented his mother with a G Wagon at a Mercedes Benz dealership in Birmingham, Alabama.

The Instagram post led with a video of McKinstry and Allen at the dealership and the proud mom’s reaction. While it’s unclear if Allen knew she was getting the $140,000 vehicle, the video showed her breaking down in tears.

«First purchase,» McKinstry noted. “Congratulations mom, you deserve it all.

The post also included a picture of them hugging in front of the vehicle, with Allen fighting back tears as he sees the car’s interior. In the video, they drove off in the G before the words «promise fulfilled» appeared on the screen.

As a member of the Crimson Tide, Kool-Aid was one of the top linebackers in the nation with a first-team All-American selection and two first-team All-SEC selections.

After being selected by the Saints, McKinstry said he wanted to repay his mom for all the sacrifices she made for him.

«I have to make up for ALL the NIGHTS my mom cried,» he wrote after he was drafted.
