Yes Nikki Haley Do you think minimizing the United States’ history of slavery and racism is the key to winning the GOP presidential nomination? That’s what it looks like!

Following her strange decision last month not to cite slavery as the cause of the Civil War – which she later defended sayingamong other things, «I had black friends growing up» – former governor of South Carolina he declared on Tuesday that the United States, where black ownership was once legal, had «never» been a racist country. That’s right, I’ve never been racist, including during the time when it was acceptable for black people to be someone’s property.

Haley’s claim came in response to a question from Fox & Friends cohost Brian Kilmeade, who asked the candidate if she thought the GOP was a «racist party.» Her complete response was “No. We are not a racist country Brian. We’ve never been a racist country.» She added, «Our goal is to make sure that today is better than yesterday,» she continued. «Are we perfect? No. But our goal is always to make sure that we’re trying to be better than we can every day .”

I want them to know that if they work hard , they can do and be whatever they want to be in America.”
