Referring to the treatment, the mother-of-one continued: “Hormonal suppression therapy is brutal. It gave me another level of debilitating exhaustion, I was in bed all day, all day. My quality of life was so minimal. I couldn’t be there for my child.’

When Michael asked if Malcolm had ‘noticed a change’ in his mother, Olivia replied: ‘Yeah. Whenever Malcolm comes home, he runs to my bed because he knows I’m there.

“That’s what he associated with me, and that was too hard for me to accept. I had to see if there was another option, so I decided to have a hysterectomy with an ovariectomy. Almost immediately after that, my energy came back full force,” she added.

Olivia started dating comedian John in 2021 and the couple welcomed Malcolm on November 24 of that year.
