A man’s body was found in a local park with burns and other injuries.

The grim discovery was made at Glennon Park near Pappas Way in Nerang, a Gold Coast suburb, about 6.30am on Tuesday.

Emergency services were called to the scene and found the body of a man who had suffered multiple injuries.

A man’s body has been found with burns and other injuries in a local park on the Gold Coast

Police said the body had been burned and believed the man had been moved to the park after being killed elsewhere, the Gold Coast Bulletin reported.

Queensland Police officers in the area prepared the scene and are currently investigating the man’s death.

The man has not been identified.

A Queensland Police spokeswoman told Daily Mail Australia officers are currently investigating the incident and inquiries into the man’s death are ongoing.

Earlier, officers were seen setting up a tent next to a junior rugby league club as detectives searched the scene for evidence.

Officers were also seen combing the brush behind the field.

Anyone who noticed suspicious behavior or had any information about the incident was urged to contact police.
