Pilot seriously injured in plane crash in Beverley, Western Australia

A light aircraft has crashed in the Wheatbelt region of Western Australia with one man seriously injured.

Emergency services were called to the scene of the crash on Little Hill Road in Beverley, about 130km south-east of Perth, at around 11am AWST on Saturday.

The pilot, a man believed to be in his 60s, was seriously injured in the crash.

It is understood he was the only person on board the plane.

Police officers, an ambulance and the Fire Rescue Service are on the scene.
