Princess Eugenie stuns in a stylish black dress with a daring thigh-high slit as she joins high society guests at the Duke of Westminster and Olivia Henson’s wedding reception.

Princess Eugenie was photographed wearing a daring black dress as she joined other guests traveling by bus to the Duke and Duchess of Westminster’s wedding reception yesterday.

The 34-year-old royal changed out of the chic green dress she wore when she attended the wedding ceremony of Hugh Grosvenor, 33, and Olivia Henson, 31, at Chester Cathedral.

Mother-of-two Eugenie, who is the daughter of Prince Andrew and Sarah Ferguson, was among 400 guests at the wedding, dubbed the ‘society wedding of the year’.

After the wedding ceremony, guests were seen heading to a lavish reception at the Grosvenor family home, Eaton Hall, just outside Chester. The newlyweds have kept details of the party under wraps, although guests were reported to have tucked into lemon pie during the bash.

Other heavy attendees included Prince William, 41, who was one of the groom’s ushers, Charlie van Straubenzee and his wife Daisy, whose daughter Clover is understood to be Prince Harry’s godfather, and William Van Cutsem.

Eugenie looked glamorous in a black maxi dress with short sleeves and colorful floral embroidery on the front as she attended the post-wedding event.

She teamed the dress with gold high-heeled sandals and a matching gold handbag.

Eugenie, who attended Marlborough College like the bride, wore her auburn locks in an elegant half-up and half-down dress, leaving some of her hair flowing over her shoulders.

The royal – who appeared to be attending the event alone, sans husband Jack Brooksbank and their two children August, three, and Ernest, four, completed her ensemble with classic make-up.

Opting for a natural, matte foundation and pink lips, she accentuated her eyes with black eyeliner and smoky dark eyeshadow.

Her daring party outfit was quite a contrast to the olive pleated dress she wore during the cathedral service.

Eugenie teamed the green midi dress with a cream fascinator, a statement necklace and gold hoop earrings.

Thousands of well-wishers gathered outside the cathedral to catch a glimpse of the high-profile couple and their guests after months of anticipation in preparation for the big day.

The aristocrat released a statement about the happy news: “The Duke of Westminster and Miss Olivia Henson are delighted to announce that they have become engaged.

“The couple, who have been together for two years, recently got engaged at the Duke’s family home at Eaton Hall in Cheshire. Members of both their families are absolutely thrilled with the news.

“Hugh Grosvenor, Duke of Westminster, is chairman of Grosvenor and also chairman of the Westminster Foundation. Miss Henson works for Belaza, a B-Corp certified food company based in London.’

Olivia, 31, who attended Marlborough College and studied Hispanic Studies and Italian at Trinity College Dublin, told Tatler she had left her role at Belaz to focus on her new «era».

Olivia comes from the Hoare banking family, as well as the Marquess of Bristol and the Dukes of Rutland, the Telegraph reports. The site also says her uncle is the Grand Master of the Scottish Freemasons and her father is stockbroker Rupert Henson.
