Prosecutors ‘plan to drop charges against Scottie Scheffler early next week’ – after world No. 1’s shock arrest at PGA Championship

Scottie Scheffler looks increasingly likely to be let off without penalty after his arrest at the PGA Championship on Friday morning stunned the world.

Scheffler was pinned to a police car and thrown into a cell after a «huge misunderstanding» outside Valhalla when he tried to enter the compound and ended up «dragging a cop 10 yards» with his car.

However, it is now being reported that the charges against Scheffler will be dropped. The world number one is due to be charged on Tuesday morning.
