Relux Electric commits Rs 250 crore to expand EV charging network in South India

Electric vehicle charging infrastructure company Relux Electric has successfully raised Rs 250 crore from a consortium of private real estate and infrastructure investors. This capital infusion, carried out on a revenue-sharing basis and without equity dilution, marks a pivotal moment for Relux as it embarks on an ambitious plan to expand its fee network across the region.

Founded in 2009, Relux Electric has outlined its plans to use the newly raised funds to build 20 state-of-the-art hyper-charging stations along key highways in southern India over the next eight months. Charging times will be optimized for different vehicle types, with tricycles being able to recharge in 10 minutes and quad bikes requiring 18 minutes to fully charge.

In addition, Relux Electric is expanding its focus by venturing into charging solutions for fleet operators and commercial EV owners.
