REVEALED: More Americans watch Euro 2024 than Copa America… FOX Sports draws nearly 6 MILLION viewers for France, Portugal

With so much soccer to watch over the last few weeks, it turns out that more Americans tuned in to Euro UEFA than Copa America this year.

Despite the Copa America taking place on American soil, data shows that the European Championship in Germany dominates viewership across 50 states.

FOX, which hosts both tournaments as part of its soccer summer, has been a huge success with millions tuning in to the network for both contests. However, their numbers indicate a significant difference in favor of Europeans.

FOX figures show that Euro 2024 averages more than double the audience for Copa America 2024.

In the quarter-finals alone, FOX Euro averaged 3.569 million viewers. With all four games available on the network, France’s quarter-final match with Portugal led the ratings.

FOX numbers show more Americans tuned in to the Euros than the Copa America

Kylian Mbappe’s victory over his idol Cristiano Ronaldo was watched by 4.284 million viewers, peaking at 5.7 million for the penalty shoot-out. Meanwhile, the Netherlands’ victory over Turkey and England’s triumph over Switzerland both topped 4 million viewers on Saturday.

On the other hand, the Copa America was also successful. However, their viewership pales in comparison to the Euro.

The Copa America quarter-finals averaged 1.668 million viewers. Still, there were notable numbers, such as the 2.144 million people who watched Brazil’s game against Uruguay.
