Scottie Scheffler opens up about funny video of Louisville golfer trolling world No. 1 over his dramatic arrest at PGA Championship

Scottie Scheffler admitted he couldn’t help but laugh at the video of the amateur golfer re-enacting his dramatic arrest at the PGA Championship last month.

The world number one was jailed on four charges – including a felony – after she tried to enter Valhalla.

He was accused of pulling a police officer to the ground when he got onto the field.

The charges have since been dropped, but a video emerged earlier this week showing a fan walking into the parking lot of a Louisville ballpark — near where Scheffler was arrested.

A mannequin disguised as a policeman was taped to the side of the car.

«It’s kind of hard not to laugh at whoever did it,» Scheffler said Tuesday before this year’s U.S. Open at Pinehurst.

“Xander (Schauffele) told me about it yesterday. He got quite a kick out of it.’

Schauffele revealed he was in a group chat with Scheffler after winning the PGA Championship, and the world No. 1 was grilled by his peers after his arrest.

«I think it belongs to good friends. If they were just making fun of me, it would be different. It wouldn’t be as fun,” Scheffler said.

“But they’re great guys and they’re great friends. So you also need to be able to look in the mirror and laugh at yourself.

«I don’t like to relive it, but being able to laugh at it sometimes is also a good skill. When they make jokes, it’s definitely hard not to laugh, especially with some of my good friends, they’re quite funny with it.’

Scheffler has already won five times this season – despite the arrest and the recent birth of his first son. The world number one admitted that juggling being a golfer and being a father has been made difficult by all the turbulence in his case.

«With some of the circumstances that happened off the golf courses, it was a little bit more challenging,» he said.

“But overall, I feel like when I’m at home and Bennett is around, it’s almost easier not to be on the phone and not watch TV. I just want to hang out with him and hang out with (wife) Mere and rocking him to sleep puts me to sleep.

«Being at home is fun. I haven’t been bored at home in a long time, that’s for sure.
