Ronaldinho has furiously revealed he will no longer be following the national team as he accused Brazil’s players of having a «lack of love for the shirt».

The 44-year-old has announced his ‘resignation’ from his association with Brazil, saying many of the players who represent the national team are ‘mediocre’.

‘That’s it guys, I’ve had enough,’ Ronaldinho wrote on Instagram.

«This is a sad moment for those who love Brazilian football. It’s getting harder and harder to find the spirit to watch the games. This is possibly one of the worst teams in recent years, it has no respectable leaders, just average players for the most part.

“I have been watching football since I was a child, long before I thought of becoming a player, and I have never seen a situation as bad as this. Lack of love for the shirt, lack of stone and most importantly: football.

«I’ll say it again, our performance was one of the worst things I’ve ever seen. Such a pity. Therefore, I announce my resignation. I will not watch any CONMEBOL Copa America game or celebrate any victory.”
