Tom Brady’s used Buccaneers pants from last NFL game sell for more than $89,000 at auction

Tom Brady’s used Tampa Bay Buccaneers pants from his last NFL appearance sold at auction for a whopping $89,000, but failed to match the record price of his jersey from the same.

According to Gray Flannel Auctions, the dark gray pants went for a high bid because the minimum price they could go for was $10,000.

The size 34 pants are from Brady’s final game of his Hall of Fame career when the Bucs lost to the Dallas Cowboys in the NFC Wild Card game on January 16, 2023.

The sports memorabilia includes Brady’s handwritten note inside the waistband of his pants that reads «1-16-23 vs. Cowboys” and the quarterback’s No. 12 tag.

It remains unclear who the lucky winner is, but the top bid went for $89,100, far less than what Brady’s final Tampa Bay jersey went for last year – a record $1.4 million.

The red jersey was auctioned at a special Sotheby’s event during the Formula 1 Las Vegas Grand Prix for $1,391,000, setting a new record for the most expensive jersey ever sold.

The listing states that the pants were authenticated by The MeiGray Group, the same company that authenticated Brady’s jersey as well.

Brady, who will begin his career in the Fox booth in the fall, spent more than two decades in the NFL before having to adjust to retirement.

‘I just want to pull my hair out and go, what the hell is going on’! he said in an episode of his ‘Let’s Go!’ podcast last year when asked about the New England Patriots.

«I have no influence on any games. I didn’t have that perspective even when I was playing,» he added.

«This is a whole new life that I’m living now too… 32 years of acting and now I’m on the outside looking in.»
