In an explosive column for The Sun, Deeney claims Spurs fans should want City on the ropes to give themselves and the rest of the league hope.

I want to sit there and think, «Blimey, who’s going to win the league?» rather than, «This is a done deal, it’s a city, hurray for summer,» because it becomes a waste of time.

“So here it is: Tottenham should WANT to help Arsenal win the title by getting a result against City.
