USMNT captain Tyler Adams is expected to return to action for Bournemouth between late February and early March, owner Bill Foley says.

Adams underwent two hamstring operations in 2023, with the second coming just weeks after making his Bournemouth debut in October following a summer move from relegated Leeds United.

«Once he’s fit, he’ll play the number six role,» Foley said of the American midfielder during an appearance on CBS Sports.

«I’m looking forward to his return. Now running. He doesn’t really exercise much, but he runs again.

«And we think he’ll be on the field in late February – early March – and I’m looking forward to it.»

Adams has started exactly one game for Bournemouth due to injury since joining the team

Adams only played one game for Bournemouth in the Carabao Cup against Stoke City as a substitute.

Being sidelined for almost a year caused a domino effect for his clubs and country.

Had Adams been healthy, Leeds would have had a better chance of surviving relegation to the English Championship and staying in the Premier League.

Dominic Fike has revealed whether he will be part of the third season of Euphoria after saying he was let down by the show's sober coach.

Adams was the youngest captain in USMNT World Cup history in 2022, but has been absent from the team since his exit from the tournament in the Round of 16 to the Netherlands.

His preferred defensive midfield position is one of the weakest for the United States, so when he’s healthy he’s one of the Stars and Stripes’ integral players.

Bournemouth are currently 12th in the Premier League, 10 points clear of the relegation zone.

For the USMNT, Adams staying healthy would skyrocket the Stars and Stripes’ chances at this summer’s Copa America.
